Class Prerequisite
Basic proficiency with a handgun
LTC classes are not intended to train students how to shoot a handgun. The qualification test portion of the course is required by the State of Texas in order to demonstrate your ability to safely and properly handle and shoot a handgun.
Class Duration 4 to 6 hours of combined classroom instruction and handgun qualification testing.
The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.
To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
RSO's who have successfully completed the course then have the ability to become a Chief Range Safety Officer, someone essential to training and supervising NRA Range Safety Officers and developing range standard operating procedures.
This course will teach you everything you’ll need to know to improve the accuracy of your rifle by producing match grade precision ammunition. Paying attention to details and maintaining tight tolerances as well as taking some extra steps in the process will yield amazing improvements in your rifle's accuracy. The class will build a batch of match grade .308WIN or 6.5 Creedmoor caliber cartridges from start to finish from case prep to data logging. Students should have already taken pistol/rifle reloading or have a basic knowledge of reloading prior to taking this class.

PREREQUISITES
Taking the Metallic Cartridge Reloading course is helpful, understanding the "basics" of reloading. Attendees need to bring a lunch, snacks, notepad, writing utensil, safety glasses and a serviceable Bolt-Action Rifle with scope chambered in .308 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor
Everything else (equipment, components, tools, etc.) will be supplied by the instructor.
ATTENDEES WILL RECEIVE:
FIVE rounds of reloaded Match-Grade Quality centerfire ammunition
Course completion certificate.
COURSE GOAL
To provide beginning reloaders with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload metallic cartridges. During the class, students will use reloading equipment to produce functioning ammunition and then go to the range to shoot that ammunition.

There are no prerequisites for taking this course. However, attendees need to bring a lunch, snacks, notepad, writing utensil, safety glasses and a serviceable handgun chambered in 9mm.
Everything else (equipment, components, tools, etc.) will be supplied by the instructor.
ATTENDEES WILL RECEIVE:
Ten rounds of reloaded centerfire ammunition
Course completion certificate.
